Bosberaad 2006 - January 2006

The SAPFA (South African power Flying Association) committee always get together for a weekend to plan the year ahead. This year it was from 20 to 22 January on Ron's farm, Paddafontein, near Thabazimbi.
Chris & I flew up in ZS-MOR in the morning and had to duck and dive rain clouds & lightening in the Free State and North West.
We had a great weekend with all being discussed & planned for the year. A new game which Ron, Dicky and Dale demonstrated was dung spitting, mmm. We flew back on Sunday morning and had even worse visibility to contend with. I have never seen so much rain in the Free State before. This all cleared up near Cradock and then it was plain sailing all the way to PE.

The “great” weather started at Cookhouse - it only got worse Chris in the last bit of sun Arrival of the last aircraft at Paddafontein - Thabazimbi Lunch 1st game drive of the weekend Walter and Rob The giraffes Ron having a moment Saturday lunch and clay shoot Another game drive Ron shares the Schnapps Lorraine, Barry and Willie Ron checks the dung for the spitting contest Dung leaves a little to be desired in the taste department!
