Algoa Flying Club Poker Run 19-02-2005
Another great day of flying. With 11 aircraft doing the rounds it was a wonderful atmosphere for anyone who even remotely enjoys flying.
We started off from the Algoa Flying Club with the first leg taking us to Scotia Safaris with an uphill landing after crossing a small hill. Not hairy just something different.
The next flight took us to Addo and Hitgeheim, where Archie collected everyone in the Land Rover, for a welcome cuppa. A really well appointed lodge perched on the edge of a mountain overlooking the Sunday's River Valley.
It was then back to Port Elizabeth, after a brief stop at Uitenhage airfield to collect another card, for a braai at the club house.
Unfortunately we did not win the R 1050 poker hand which went to Gary Wiggins (lucky bum).
